A whole day at Alton Towers Theme Park.
Alton Towers occupies a huge site, originally the estate of the Earls of Shrewsbury. You can still see the ruins of the old mansion. Once very grand with many towers, battlements and turrets, now only the shell remains, of which a small part is used for the gift shop and cafeteria.
If you feel in need of something soothing after so much excitement you can row on the lake, take an aerial cable car ride, or simply enjoy walking in the gardens, which still have many of the plants, ornamental features and fountains from the original design.

Moreover, Bath takes a real pride in sharing its secrets and unique heritage, which can be explored in a variety of 40 museums, galleries, gardens and attractions.
Water has always been of huge significance to Bath's heritage. The Roman Baths and the temple were built around the thermal springs, which have been constantly supplying water at 46C for 2,000 years and which can still be tasted in the Pump room.
