Motorhome Rental

Motorhome Rental in the UK is very popular today. Maybe it’s TV programs like the recent Rick Stein’s Spain that has helped this method of touring become so big. If you didn’t see the Rick Stein show, you can watch the last episode on Wednesday – I think he is down the south of Spain in Seville, Granada etc. Basically he arrived in Spain by the Brittany Ferries Portsmouth to Bilbao route with a T2 (I think – correct me if I am wrong) VW Campervan that he had ‘borrowed from a mate’.

So from the ferry Rick went to Galicia, Navarra, Catalunya, Valencia, La Mancha and … I haven’t seen the last one yet. Along the way he was seeing what the local delicacies were, getting involved and speaking quite bad Spanish. It’s been a great show so far, but he hasn’t actually stayed in the VW yet! Presumably the BBC put him up in nice hotels, he has cooked in the van though, so that’s something. My favourite part was the ‘Snail Festival’ in Lleida, quite cool to see 12,000 people eating snails!
