There is a motorhomes rental boom going on at the moment. I think the idea of motorhomes being owned and driven by anorak wearing train spotters is now becoming a bit dated for a few reasons.
Especially as younger people are indulging in the motorhomes rental phenomena for attending events lasting a few days, such as festivals and motorsports meetings.
Indeed, just a few years ago the World Cup 2006 in Germany saw a complete motorhomes rental explosion with motorhome hire being one of the easiest ways to see all the matches without reserving hotels well in advance or pitching a tent every night in a different place.
There is of course a kind of comedy angle to motorhomes as anyone will appreciate who has seen Peter Kay’s fantastic Phoenix Nights spin off series: “Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere”, but even this hilarious comedy series has been enough to put the idea of a motorhome holiday into people’s heads who may have not considered the freedom of having your accommodation and transport rolled into one!
