Features include:
Cooker with oven,fridge,microwave,h/c running water, shower, toilet, sink with drainer, fresh & waste water tanks,12 & 24 volt lighting,charger,inverter,2 batteries, security locks, double glazing,radio/cassette,omni TV aerial, window blinds, laminate wood floor, overcab double bed with new mattress, flued gas heater. All this equipment is in working order, but remember this is not retro 70's, this is the real thing! On a personal note, "The Beast" has been in my family for over 12 years and I sell reluctantly due to lack of space. It's fully equipped, runs and performs ok and boasts a full year's MOT. At over 26 feet it is a large and comfortable 4 berth. The last 3 years, after many years of holidaying, we have lived full time in "The Beast" while renovating a house in the French alps and have found it a home from home. Although not quick, it has never broken down and although snow covered for 5 months a year it has never leaked. At 30 years of age I feel it still has many years of faithful service to come. Parts can always be obtained, as many clubs/societies exist for the Ford A-series. The buy now price is very reasonable as I wish to sell "The Beast" and return to my mountain retreat as soon as possible As a final note I must stress again that this vehicle is 30 years old, has been lived in and is well used. Thus, anybody expecting the 'bargain of a lifetime' should definitely view first. Don't misunderstand me, it is a great machine, but does have some idiosyncrasies and may not be to everyone's taste. Also, I really want The Beast to go to a good home.

STOP PRESS - As I must leave England on Sunday, I have removed the reserve price. I may be financially off my rocker, but The Beast must go......... HAVE FUN! Questions from other buyers for this listing
Q: Abi Titmuss is a slapper. Oh, I see your point.
20-May-05
A: Would probably need a few pints first.....
Q: Hi could you tell me how many people it can seat please and is it tax exempt like a car of that age. Many thanks
20-May-05
A: The cab seats 3 people. Unfortunately it is not tax exempt as law changed in 72/73, but the tax is the same as for a car.
Q: Hi - do you have any more photos of the inside? As you need to leave on Sunday does that mean the van would need to be paid for and picked up by then? (Daft question maybe but worth making sure!). Thanks, Andy
20-May-05
A: Andy, I'll try and get my mate to take some more pics of the interior for you (after all, I have just fixed his Massey tractor's steering) - however, he's a drummer and doesn't rise til after dark. However, he has assured me that the beast can rest easy at his place until you come to collect. Yours, Clive
Q: what would be your min offer for THE BEAST. In CASH of course. Thanks geoff....
20-May-05
A: Geoff, Once bitten twice shy babe - as Ian Hunter once sang - This one is gonna run & run ..........
Q: What a fantastic camper!, couple of questions, what's it like for rust? Does it start well (old diesels can be a pain!) when you mention idiosyncrasies what do you mean? and finally what are you hoping to get for it? All the best Ben
19-May-05
A: Rustwise it's OK - it has strong commercial chassis - cab overhauled 4 years ago and the body is aluminium. It always starts, but I won't deny in cold conditions, a puff of easystart helps! Idiosyncrasies - one already mentioned, odd positioning of diesel tank, unusual dashboard layout and similar small quirky things. It has a cat flap for instance! I would like to get £10,000 - but there again, I'd like to **** Abi Titmuss!! Cheers Clive
Q: Hi. That's a non-standard engine. What is it exactly? Cheers, LG.
17-May-05
A: It's a standard Perkins straight6 O/H/C Diesel. Regards, Clive
Q: Hi, Can you tell me what MPG you get, approx? Adam
17-May-05
A: Around 25-30 mpg Cheers Clive
