We are in the process of just adding a few more motorhomes to our page about motorhome hire in the East Midlands. This primarily includes the counties of Cambridgeshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. There are also a few other counties that crept in like Staffordshire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands. West Midlands was mainly due to a Dethleffs Eurostyle A69 which is based in Solihull, probably not exactly East Midlands, but close enough.
The East Midlands is an area I have just spent sometime in recently: a weekend in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, a few days in Market Rasen in Lincoln and a night in Southwell, Nottinghamshire. I must say I was amazed with the sheer beauty of this area, especially Lincolnshire which I have never really visited – just passed through. We had a great morning clay pigeon shooting near Market Rasen, went to see an excellent rock band at Admiral Rodney Hotel in Southwell and went to a friend’s wedding in Burton Lazars, near Melton Mowbray. All this was done by motorhome and not a single campsite was paid for. So there you go, you can merrily wild camp in the East Midlands.
