At the moment I am travelling around the UK on a tour with my band. This was all kicked off by playing a gig in Burton Lazars near Melton Mowbray for a wedding reception. This is the start of a 11 day/11 gig tour for The Harper Brothers. We are doing this in this incredible Damon Ultrasport RV.
I’m afraid you can’t hire this motorhome from this site as it belongs to the singer of the band and is usually based in France. This isn’t normally the size of motorhome I’d like to drive around the UK, but it has been interesting so far. People have been very helpful about where we can park it and even wild camp in it. In particular the Melton Mowbray Constabulary told us where we could park it and even offered to ‘keep an eye on it’ while we popped into town to pick a few things up.
So I think the moral of this story is not to worry about the size of a vehicle, you will always find somewhere to park it and most people will be curious as to why you are visiting and generally be very helpful.
