If you are considering hiring or buying a motorhome this year there is no better way to start off the year than going to the first of the season’s Motorhome shows, which is this coming weekend Friday 27th- Sunday 29th April at the East of England Showground, Peterborough. There are five different weekend Motorhome shows nationally through the season between April and September – from this one in the Midlands, to Northampton, up North as far as Cheshire and down south to Newbury. All the shows are great fun and bursting with activity and useful opportunities to gain advice or buy anything you may need for your trips.
All the weekend shows offer onsite camping which can be pre-booked, or at a slightly higher price you could just turn up at the show and pay for your weekend’s camping there and then. The Camping price includes various evening entertainment and free entry to each day of the show.
This weekend’s Motorhome show, in Peterborough, is facing some weather challenges with the volume of rain we have had over the past week and which is still forecast for Friday and Sunday, with the result that due to some areas of the showground being waterlogged, whilst pre-booked campers will be OK, you cannot now just arrive and stay onsite.
However, importantly the National Motorhome Show is still going ahead and will be fully open today visitors and so far Saturday’s forecast is fine. Pre-booked campers can proceed as expected.
Peterborough Show will have over 300 trade stands offering advice, gadgets, clothing, camping equipment and motorhome dealer offering new and second hand vehicles and new this year are free seminars on a first come first serve basis offering advice to anyone interested about buying and using your motorhome, including taking one abroad.
The National Motorhome Show is open from 9.30 each day and until 5pm Friday and Saturday and 4.30pm Sunday. Gate prices are £7.50 per adult and £2 per child.
Take your time on Saturday 28th, potentially one of the driest days of the month so far and plan to have enjoy a day out with the family, enjoy looking at all the latest 2012 motorhome models, or the layouts of second hand models, even American motorhomes. Then wander around the stalls with all the latest accessories and technology for the camping market, enjoy the food stalls and have a great day out.
