Easter Holiday Ideas

It’s been a cold old winter in the UK, but I think we are over the worst. We are seeing double figure temperatures most days and a bit of sunshine. So, what are you planning for the Easter Holiday this year? Motorhome hire could offer some different Easter Holiday ideas.

Good Friday is April 10th this year and Easter Monday is April 13th – so why not take a bit of extra time off and hire a motorhome and explore the UK or maybe cross the channel and get some spring sunshine in France, Italy or Spain?

Kings, queens and battles are the theme of many of English Heritage’s Easter events, which are part of their golden jubilee celebrations. “Fierce Celtic warriors” will recount Boadicea’s life at Castle Acre Priory in Norfolk, King George III will be recruiting at Stokesay Castle in Shropshire, and King Harold’s household during the last months of his reign is recreated at Battle Abbey in Sussex.

The Boat Race. This year’s Oxford v Cambridge race is on Easter Saturday. As well as river walks you can do, there are tons of great riverside pubs to visit too

Have a Family Easter Time at the beach! Personally I like to go to Pembrokeshire, Wales.  Spring offers the longer days and warmer sun, so let the children explore the safe, sandy beaches before returning to your motorhome, where you can spend time enjoying a family meal and maybe some board games. Your wonderful memories and photographs will last forever, not just until the summer.
